Live Music and Student Engagement
The Residency and Bloodworks Northwest presents Where the Heart Lives, a performance program for high school and college youth to spark conversation and inspire mental and physical wellness within themselves and their communities.
According to its website, the Residency was created as a response to the glaring gap in access to high-quality, experiential arts education for low-income youth.
Bloodworks Northwest is a non-profit organization harnessing donor gifts to provide a safe, lifesaving blood supply to 95% of hospitals in the Pacific Northwest.
The performance program will include components on mental health and wellness, community engagement, sharing how students can impact the community’s health through blood donation, and feature live spoken word and musical performances by The Residency’s artists.
The performance will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
